Jed Nevill

Biography

Jed lives on a sheep and beef farm in Moa Creek, Central Otago and began curling at 13. His real passion for the sport was sparked after travelling to watch his older brother play in the NZ Junior Men’s Curling Team at the World Junior A Championships in Jonkoping, Sweden, in 2022.

Over the years, Jed has seen success in the Secondary Schools Curling Competitions in New Zealand, winning the South Island Secondary Schools Championship 2021 and 2022 and the New Zealand Secondary Schools Championships 2022 and 2023. During the 2022 Secondary School season, Jed was awarded the Spirit of Curling - Sportsmanship Award, voted by other competitors at both the SISS and NZSS Championships.

This year, Jed and his Mixed Doubles partner, Olivia Russell, won the New Zealand Junior (U21) Mixed Doubles Championship.  He was selected as part of the NZ Junior Men's team to compete at the World Junior B’s in Lohja, Finland, in December 2023.

At Gangwon 2024, Jed will compete in the Mixed Team and Mixed Doubles Curling events.
