Biography

EVENT: Netball

Kelly Jury was a member of the New Zealand Netball Team which won bronze over home favourites England at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Selected in her first Silver Ferns squad in 2017, the 1.92m defender made the most of her opportunity after bouncing back from an early setback. Days after signing her first top-level contract with Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic, Jury ruptured an Achilles tendon which put her out of action for the 2015 season.

The injury curse struck again in 2018 to curtail her promising career, a major shoulder injury impeding her progress. Successful surgery and a move to the Pulse in 2020 rejuvenated Jury's promising career.

As one of the tallest defenders in the New Zealand game, Jury is adding to her skillset with quick hand and foot movement and attacking thrust from the back court.
