Marina Erakovic

Marina timed her run for Olympic selection perfectly. Her career was built under the guidance of Chris Lewis and more recently of Michiel Schapers. She began 2008 ranked 153rd in the world. So far she has progressed steadily making semi - final appearances at international tournaments. At the French Open, her first Grand Slam, she won the first round and then pushed second seed Jelena Jankovic close. She won the Surbiton tournament and hit glorious form at Wimbledon where she reached the third round of singles.
