Biography

EVENTS: Lawn Bowls: Women’s Triples, Fours

Birmingham 2022 was Nicole Toomey's debut Commonwealth Games. The Wellington local competed in the Women's Triples and Fours disciplines, winning bronze in both.

Toomey is no stranger to highly competitive bowls. She won the National Singles title in 2021 after toppling World Champ and now-teammate Val Smith, and then former New Zealand champion Mandy Boyd in the final.

Toomey has a strong work ethic and manages her time off the green with her work as an Early Childcare Educator.
