Biography

Track cyclist Raquel Sheath won silver at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in the women’s 4000m team pursuit. 

Gold Coast 2018 was her first Commonwealth Games. At the 2016 Rio Olympic Games Sheath rode for team pursuit to finish 4th, breaking the NZ Record twice. 

Sheath made her World Cup debut in 2014 in the team pursuit team that finished 4th at the 2015 World Championships. Late 2016 Sheath won the NZ Criterium Championships. At the 2017 World Championships in Hong Kong, she claimed bronze with the pursuit team and distinguished herself individually with a 4th placing in the first women's madison.
