Sarah Murphy

Sarah has been the only athlete to represent New Zealand at the Winter Olympics in the sport of Biathlon. She competed in both the 7.5km Sprint event and the 15km Individual event at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games.

Born in Alberta Canada, to a New Zealand mother and Canadian father, she was raised in both Alberta and Nelson New Zealand. Fortunate to have a base in both countries, this allowed Sarah to train in New Zealand during the Canadian summer then return to Europe for their winter season.

Sarah's best performance was finishing 47th from a field of 100 competitors at the Biathlon World Cup in 2010.
