EVENTS: Lawn Bowls: Men’s Singles, Pairs

Birmingham 2022 was the fourth Commonwealth games for Shannon McIlroy who competed in the Singles and Pairs disciplines. 

After picking up bowls 30 years ago in Nelson with his father, McIlroy now resides and trains in Nelson with the sharp mentality to “train harder than you play, and don’t let things you can’t do, stop you from doing the things you can.”

Off the green, Shannon loves spending time with his wife and young children and watching sports.
