Biography

Already an Olympian, Steven represented New Zealand as a swimmer at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games where he was a member of the swimming team at Sydney 2000 before changing codes for Athens 2004. Steven was a finalist in the men’s K2 1000 at Athens with Ben Fouhy.

Steven follows in the footsteps of his famous father Ian in representing New Zealand in Canoe/Kayak at the Olympic Games. He even watched his father’s great success in L.A. in 1984 as a four year old.

Steven will compete in Beijing in both the K1 500m (single) and with his team mate Mike Walker in the K2 1000m.
