Athlete Q&A: Artistic Gymnast Georgia-Rose Brown

Women’s artistic gymnast Georgia-Rose Brown has been welcomed to the New Zealand Team section of the Olympic Village for Paris 2024.

We caught up with her to hear how she's enjoying her first Olympic Games experience...

Q: How's it all going so far?
A: It's been absolutely incredible. When I came in and got the formal welcome to the team it was surreal. I had goosebumps.

Q: How are you enjoying the Olympic environment?
A: The village looks amazing. I've done two Commonwealth Games but this is another level, I'm loving exploring and looking around.

Q: When's your competition and how's preparation going?
A: My competition begins on July 28th. Preparation is going really well, I had a pre Games camp in Belgium where I trained for 10 days. I was lucky to have access to their national center which had amazing equipment very similar to what we'll compete on in the Olympics so it's been really well.

Q: How do you prepare for this pinnacle event?
A: Basically heaps of routines but I haven't done an all-around competition in quite a while now so my goal here is to compete successfully in each event. I've been building up well and I'm really excited to get going!

Q: Thanks Georgia-Rose, we'll be cheering you on!
