Birmingham 2022 will be the first time that T20 cricket has been included in the Games and also the first time that women’s cricket has been on the sports programme at any Commonwealth Games.
The netball matches will also begin on Friday 29 July, one day after the opening ceremony for the Games, the largest multi-sport event to be held in the UK for a decade and the biggest ever event to be held in the West Midlands region.
The World Champion New Zealand side has games against a yet-to-qualify team on the 29th and another on the 30th. They then take on Malawi on August 1st, followed by another yet-to-qualify team on the 2nd, before a showdown against hosts and reigning Commonwealth Champions England on the 4th.
