Fullbore shooters in medal contention

New Zealanders John Snowden and Brian Carter have made an impressive start to the Queens Prize individual finals at the Belmont Shooting Range, sitting in second and third respectively after the first day of competition.

The experienced duo, who finished fifth in the team competition, are neck and neck heading into the finals tomorrow. Snowden and Carter are both sitting on 105 points, along with eight others.

Australian Jim Bailey is just ahead of the two kiwis after recording one extra bullseye.
