Promising opening by badminton pair

New Zealand’s only badminton representatives, mixed doubles players Oliver Leydon-Davis and Anona Pak had a comfortable first-victory victory.

The New Zealanders beat Jean Bernard Bongout and Jemimah Leung For Sang of Mauritius 21-7 21-10 to move into the last 16.

Leydon-Davis and Pak now play Australians Tran Pham and Angela Yu, who have both their matches in straight sets.
