Biography

EVENT: Sailing: Women's 49er FX

Alex will be competing at her second Olympic Games, following on from the silver she won with Molly Meech in the 49erFX at the 2016 Games in Rio. The pair have been among the world's best since teaming up in 2012 and they won the inaugural 49erFX world championship title a year later.

Alex and Molly are coached by Olympian Nathan Handley, who helped Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie to gold (London 2012) and silver (Rio 2016) in the women's 470.

Alex has sailed all her life and spent three years of her childhood on the family cruising boat sailing around the Pacific.
