EVENTS: Cycling-Track: Women's Team Pursuit, Madison, Omnium
Aucklander Bryony Botha joined the Cycling New Zealand High Performance programme in 2017 after excelling as a junior, gaining junior world championship medals including the gold in the Team Pursuit in 2015. She was part of the female pursuit team that won silver at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and bronze at the World Championship in 2019.
Since the Tokyo Olympics, Botha has blossomed as an individual rider, breaking the New Zealand record three times in the Individual Pursuit, now down to a world-class 3:19.634 which is the new Oceania record.
