David Stallard

Biography

David Stallard competed at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games where he and teammate Sue Curran placed fourth, having been narrowly beaten for the bronze medal.

At the 2017 International Blind Bowling World Championships in Johannesburg, David and Sue won the silver medal in the B3 Mixed Pairs. The medal ranking one better than their bronze in 2015 at the International Bowls for the Disabled competition in Wellington.

David has also had success at the New Zealand Open, taking gold in both the para sport pairs and triples in 2015, and also a gold in the World Masters Games parasport pairs in 2016.

David spends a lot of time with guide dog, Jackson, a black Labrador retriever, and enjoys indulging in his passion for his garden. David is assisted both on and off the green by his director of five years, Peter Blick.
