Hanna Abdou

Biography

Hanna attends Christchurch Girls High School and represents the Jasi Swim Club.

Her enjoyment of swimming is recognising her progress and good results reflected in her racing from training. Seeing all her hard work paying off is very satisfying. As such a competitive person she is driven to always improve and enhance her performances. Hanna also enjoys meeting new people from around the country that make great competitors and life long friends.

Hanna's most satisfying achievement so far is her selection to The NZ Team for the Commonwealth Youth Games, being her first representation for New Zealand.

Her goal is for future selections to New Zealand teams for more international competitions and eventually qualify and compete at the Olympic Games.

Hanna is extremely excited and honoured to represent New Zealand for the first time, with such an amazing opportunity to gain international racing experience and improve as an athlete. It is a big step up in her career as a swimmer which could lead to further swimming opportunities.
