Biography
Rio 2016 was Sophie's first Olympic Games.
Sophie and crew mate Julia Edward are double world champions in the women's lightweight double having won at the 2014 and 2015 World Rowing Championships. Sophie was also an U23 world champion in the lightweight double with Zoe McBride in 2014.
Sophie hails from Marlborough and is a member of Wairau Rowing Club.
In her spare time Sophie runs a 'wellness blog' with New Zealand squash player, Megan Craig.
