Rio 2016 was officially Zoe's first Olympic Games - she previously attended the 2012 London Olympic Games as a reserve.
Zoe and crewmate Eve Macfarlane are the reigning world champions having won gold at the 2015 World Rowing Championships.
Zoe enters the games as a two time world champion in the women's double having also won gold in the double scull at the 2014 World Rowing Championships with Fiona Bourke.
Zoe hails from Tauranga where she first began rowing and is a member of the Tauranga Rowing Club. Zoe’s father Herb Stevenson represented New Zealand in the Men's Eights throughout the 1980's.
Outside of rowing she enjoys hobbies like painting and crochet and hanging out with her friends.
