Andrea Hansen

EVENT: Triathlon - Mixed Team Relay, Women's Individual

Birmingham 2022 was Andrea’s fourth Commonwealth Games. She has won two Commonwealth Games medals and has competed at three editions of Olympic Games.

Hansen won the individual bronze medal at the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. 12 years later she won another Commonwealth Games bronze, in the mixed team relay at Gold Coast 2018.

Hansen (nee Hewitt) gave birth to daughter Flossie in early 2021. Following the arrival of Flossie she juggled duties as a full-time mum with training one or twice a day. Hansen also entered several cross-country races during the winter. She then increased her work on the bike, and has trained in the pool with Paralympic great Sophie Pascoe.
