Biography

Track Cyclist Dylan Kennett is a double Commonwealth Games bronze medallist.

Kennett competed twice at the Commonwealth Games, earning bronze in the 4000m pursuit each time (team in 2014 and individual in 2018).

At Rio 2016, Kennett finished 4th in the 4000m team pursuit.

Gilt-edged prospect since he emerged on the scene as a junior rider, winning two medals at 16 years in the junior world championships before returning the following year to win four medals - three silvers and a bronze - when the championships were staged at Invercargill. Kennett had some time out of the squad, returning to quickly re-emerge as a key component. He finished second in the young rider category at the An Post RAS Tour of Ireland in 2016. Kennett won six medals at the Junior World Champs in 2011 and 2012's equal most for a NZ rider. He was part of the team pursuit gold at the 2015 World Champs and silver in 2017.
