Biography

Tokyo will be the veteran defender’s fourth Olympics after Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016. He has attended four Commonwealth Games, winning silver (Gold Coast 2018) and bronze (Delhi 2010) medals.

The ‘general’ of the team with more than 300 caps for his country, McAleese reads the play well, is calm on the ball and the timing of his interventions is world-class.
